We all sometimes need to meet friends or relatives. This happens most often at the train station if they arrive by train, and at the bus station if they arrive by bus. As a rule, people go to another city to see their acquaintances, so they hope that they will be met.
Instructions
Step 1
By phone, e-mail or in any other way convenient for you, check with the arrivals the number of the train, the time and place of arrival. Let them tell you which station they are arriving at and which carriage they will be traveling in. Typically, this information is found on the purchased ticket. Time in tickets is indicated in Moscow, so if you meet people in a different time zone, do not forget to check Moscow time and add or subtract the corresponding number of hours.
Step 2
Take with you only the essentials - your passport, transport card, ticket or travel card. As a rule, guests come with suitcases and bags, so your free hands will not be superfluous.
Step 3
Arrive at the station 15-20 minutes before the arrival of the train with guests. This time will be enough for you to find out which platform the train is coming to and go directly to it.
Step 4
Find an electronic information board in or near the station building. It usually looks like a scrolling screen. If you cannot find it, ask the train station staff where to look for information on arriving trains. At some stations, instead of an electronic board, there is a regular information board.
Step 5
On the board or board, you will see information about the train number, the place of its departure, the arrival time, parking in minutes and the number of the platform on which the train arrives will also be indicated. At the same time, listen to the messages of the station dispatcher, they duplicate this information, and they also report the numbering of the cars from the head or tail of the train (that is, from its beginning or end).
Step 6
Then proceed to the platform. Stand so that visitors can see you. Be careful, theft and fraud are widespread at train stations. Avoid suspicious persons and try to keep valuables in hard-to-reach places.
Step 7
If you meet guests at the bus station, the algorithm of actions will be about the same, just instead of a train, you will need to approach the arriving bus. After meeting guests, take heavy bags from them and proceed to the exit from the station.
