Biography

Lyubov Polishchuk was born in Omsk in 1949, brought up in a simple family of workers. Since childhood, the future actress attended a music school, studied dancing and singing. Her initial dream was to become a singer, so after school Lyubov entered one of the Moscow pop schools. After graduating from her studies in 1967, Polishchuk returned to Omsk and began working at the Philharmonic. By that time, she was already married to Valery Makarov, with whom she performed on stage together.

Lyubov Polishchuk got to the theater thanks to Maryan Belenky, who wrote scripts for her performances. It was he who invited her to play on the stage of the Moscow Music Hall. As a result, Lyubov entered the acting troupe of the music hall, with which she toured for more than a year. In 1974, Polishchuk made her film debut, appearing in the film Starling and Lyra. After several episodic roles, she was awaited by successful filming in the film "12 Chairs" with Andrei Mironov.

And yet, Lyubov Polishchuk did not become a popular film actress, continuing to play mainly in theatrical productions. Only in the 80s did she decide to study at GITIS, which opened the way for her to major film projects. Nationwide recognition was not long in coming: in 1989, the actress was remembered by everyone for the sensational film "Intergirl". After that, there were such projects as "Love with Privileges", "Still Munchausen", "Wild Wind" and others.

For a significant contribution to the development of art in 1994, Lyubov Polishchuk received the prestigious title of People's Artist of the country. Unfortunately, she did not manage to fully declare herself in the 2000s: the actress was remembered only for her role in the popular TV series My Fair Nanny. By this time, the last years of her life had already passed.

Personal life and death of the actress

Lyubov Polishchuk was married twice. Valery Makarov became the first spouse in his student years. After the divorce in 1972, the actress met the artist Sergei Tsigal, with whom she lived together until the end of her days. In both marriages, children were born: Alexey and Marietta, who went to their mother, choosing an acting career for themselves.

In 2000, Lyubov Polishchuk was involved in a car accident, which led to a serious spinal injury. A long-term treatment began, which at first gave a positive result: the actress was able to move independently and even returned to the set. But in 2005, the state of the national favorite began to deteriorate rapidly. She had to go to rest at home, but in 2006 Lyubov's body could not stand it, and she died. The People's Artist was buried at the Moscow Troekurovsky cemetery.
