Sending invitations to relatives, acquaintances and colleagues abroad will allow them to quickly and easily issue documents for entry. However, when drawing up this document, certain formalities must be observed.

Step 1
A frequent question from those wishing to send an invitation to relatives and friends: "In what language should it be drawn up, in Russian or foreign?" The essence of the invitation is to confirm that all the necessary conditions for the stay of the invitee have been met. The invitation must be written in Russian.
Step 2
To register an invitation and draw up the necessary documents, you need to contact the FMS (Federal Migration Service) of your city or region in advance. Tell them that an acquaintance or relative has come to you for a certain period with a specific purpose (rest, collecting documents for study, formalizing an inheritance).
Step 3
You will need to collect a package of documents. It includes: application-petition in duplicate, a copy of your guest's passport, confirmation of material and living conditions. A foreigner can only be invited by a Russian citizen with a permanent residence permit.
Step 4
The validity period of the invitation is different for each country. It depends on the general political situation, the accepted norms of the visa regime, etc. The maximum period that an individual can count on is 3 months. An organization can invite a business partner for a period of one to five years.
Step 5
There are also legal conditions related to the provision of invitations, which are different in different countries. There is a list of "countries of migration risk" (you can find it on the website of the migration service of the Russian Federation Fms.gov.ru).
