The Muz-TV 2012 award became an anniversary one - this time it was held for the tenth time. In connection with the round date, the organizers have prepared a special show with many surprises for the audience. The guests of the ceremony were such well-known figures of show business as Ani Lorak, Elka, Timur Rodriguez, Nyusha, Bi-2, Timati and many other Russian pop stars.

The awards were handed out at the Olimpiyskiy, and one of the main ones, The Best Performer, was given to Dima Bilan. In this nomination, he competed with such artists as Philip Kirkorov, Grigory Leps, Dan Balan and his longtime rival Sergei Lazarev.

The "Best Performer" was the singer Yolka, who in the voting bypassed Vera Brezhneva, Ani Lorak, Nyusha and even Zemfira.

The two most important awards that guests have been waiting for the most did not overshadow the thirteen other singers, singers and bands who also received silver plates.

In the nomination "Best Song" the winner was Nyusha with her song "Higher". The plate for the "Best Album" went to the "Degrees" group.

"Vintage" became the "Best Pop Group" at the 10th anniversary Muz-TV prize, "Beasts" received a plate for "Best Rock Group". For the seventh time they have been named the winner in the Best Rock Group nomination, so there was no sharp struggle among the other contenders.

Muz-TV covers many musical directions. After pop and rock, the jury switched to hip-hop, and Band'Eros became the winner in the Best Hip-Hop Project nomination.

Young artists, who have not yet received universal recognition, but attracted attention to their person and creativity, competed for first place in the Breakthrough of the Year nomination. It was received by Max Barskikh.

Not only songs were evaluated, but also their video accompaniment. The nomination "Best Video" gave victory to the composition "Snow" by Philip Kirkorov, directed by Alan Badoev.

The "Best Duet" was the collaboration of the group "Disco Crash" and Christina Orbakaite, which resulted in the creation of the song "Weather Forecast".

The viewers of the Muz-TV channel named Philip Kirkorov's “DruGou” concert at the State Kremlin Palace “the best concert show”.

The main concert venue in 2012 was the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex, which for the tenth time received the Muz-TV Prize on its stage.

The organizers of the event also took care of special prizes. Thus, Igor Krutoy received the plate “For his contribution to the development of the music industry”. It was presented by Emmanuel Vitorgan and Joseph Kobzon. This award was the first from the Muz-TV channel for Krutoy.

"For the contribution to life" the plate went to Mikhail Gorbachev. It was received by his granddaughter Ksenia from the hands of Vyacheslav Fetisov and Svetlana Zakharova.
