On June 1, 2012, the jubilee prize in the field of popular music "Muz-TV" was held. Traditionally, the tenth cymbal presentation took place at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex in Moscow. In addition to awards for musical achievement, special awards have been presented.
The Muz-TV award is presented in 11 nominations. Each contains five applicants selected by music experts. Further, the winners are determined by audience voting.
The title "Best Duet" was awarded to the group "Disco Crash" and Kristina Orbakaite. Their joint song "Weather Forecast" became the leader in terms of the number of viewers' votes. Elka and Pavel Volya were also presented in this nomination with the composition "Boy", Dzhigan and Julia Savicheva "Let Go", the song "How not to think about you" by the family duet of Leonid Agutin and Angelica Varum, as well as the composition "You've lost weight" by Lolita and by the Quest Pistols.
In the nomination "Best Album" were presented: "Dots are set" from Yolka, "Friend" by Philip Kirkorov, "Dreamer" by Dima Bilan, albums "Anechka" and "Naked" from the groups "Vintage" and "Degrees", respectively. The audience gave the cherished plate to the "Degrees" group.
The "Beasts" group was recognized as the best rock-group. In addition to her, Mumiy Troll, Leningrad, Okean Elzy and Bi-2 claimed this title. In a parallel nomination - "Best Pop Group", were nominated Potap and Nastya Kamenskikh, "Degrees", Quest Pistols, "A'Studio" and the group "Vintage" that received this award.
Two plates went to the piggy bank of Philip Kirkorov. His show "Friend" was the winner in the "Best Live Show" nomination. Knowing how to masterfully create unforgettable concerts, the singer left behind Sergei Lazarev with the show "Heartbeat", Dima Bilan with the program "30 years. Beginning”, Anita Tsoi“Your A”and a joint project of Dmitry Hvorostovsky and Igor Krutoy“Deja Vu”.

Max Barskikh received the Muz-TV award in the Breakthrough of the Year nomination. At this distance, he bypassed Dasha Suvorova, Ivan Dorn, the projects "Nerva" and "Both Two". The Band'Eros group won the Muz-TV 2012 award in the Best Hip-Hop Project nomination. Their rivals were Noize MC, Casta, Basta and Guf.
Until the end, the main intrigues of the award remained. "The best performer of 2012" was the singer Yolka. Among the nominees were also Zemfira, Nyusha, Vera Brezhneva and Ani Lorak. Dima Bilan won the Muz-TV 2012 award as the Best Performer of 2012. In addition to him, Philip Kirkorov, Grigory Leps, Sergey Lazarev and Dan Balan applied for the award. In the nomination "Best Song" the singer Nyusha won with the hit "Vyshe", leaving behind the group Serebro "Mama Lyuba", the group "Degrees" "Naked", Vera Brezhneva with the song "Real Life" and Yolka with the composition "Near You".
Special awards were given to Mikhail Gorbachev “For his contribution to life” and Igor Krutoy “For his contribution to the development of the music industry”. They also voiced the "Best Performers of the Decade": Philip Kirkorov and Zemfira. The Olympic Stadium was not forgotten either - it was awarded the award as the "Best Concert Venue".
