To find a person who participated in the Great Patriotic War, go to the sites www.veterany.org, www.obd-memorial.ru, www.soldat.ru. Here are the bases with the names of the dead people discovered by the search teams. Enter the last name and first name of the missing person. If there is additional information - age, rank, medals - indicate it. It may already be on the list. Then you will find out the place of his burial. If the first time you did not manage to get any information, do not despair. Try again two to three times a month. The databases are constantly updated, updated with new data.
Step 2
Contact the military-patriotic clubs that exist in your area. Information about them can be found on the Internet. Bring them a photograph of your missing relative, including the year of birth, hometown, and approximate place of service. The search engines will add this information to the general database, and the person will start looking for the same units throughout the country.
Step 3
Write or call a unique international project - the "Wait for me" program. Her volunteers are looking for those who disappeared during the Great Patriotic War not only on the territory of the former Soviet Union, but also in other states. To get into the transmission base, fill out the form on the website www.poisk.vid.ru. There, in as much detail as possible, describe the signs of a person. Add a photo to the text if it is saved. The work on finding the missing person will begin immediately. Weekly employees of "Wait for Me" are looking for fifty people. Thirty percent of them are soldiers, officers, partisans who have not returned from the battlefields.
