Behind the shoulders of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation today there are many theatrical performances, film works and even the prize of the Paris Film Festival. Irina Apeksimova has gone a very serious way to the heights of cinematographic and theatrical fame, which, in addition to studying in the workshop of Oleg Tabakov of the Moscow Art Theater School, continued to improve her qualifications abroad: in New York's Julliard School and London's Barbican Center acting schools.

A talented actress, singer, TV presenter and director - Irina Viktorovna Apeksimova - is currently the head of the Moscow State Drama and Comedy Theater on Taganka. And the title series "Birthday of the Bourgeois", where she starred in tandem with her ex-husband Valery Nikolaev, brought her immense popularity.

Biography and creativity of Irina Apeksimova

A native of Volgograd was born on January 13, 1966 in a family of musicians (her father is a teacher at the conservatory and music school, and her mother is a teacher at the conservatory and theater choirmaster). By the way, the famous Russian singer Larisa Dolina is Irina Apeksimova's second cousin, and her older brother Valery Apeksimov under the pseudonym Light became a famous composer and musician in the United States.

From the age of eight, the girl with her mother, who decided to part with Irina's father, moved to Odessa. It is here that she grows up and becomes a future actress. In high school, she begins to study according to the program with a theatrical bias with the honored teacher of the RSFSR - Olga Kashneva. And then there were two unsuccessful attempts to enter (1983 and 1984) in the Moscow Moscow Art Theater School. It was the Odessa accent that became a powerful obstacle to obtaining a classical theater education. Therefore, Irina decides to go to her father in Volgograd in order to get rid of this speech feature, working in the local theater of musical comedy.

And then there was the Moscow Art Theater School and training at specialized acting courses in London and New York.

The theatrical activity of the actress began with a ten-year work in the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater named after A. P. Chekhov, where she performed in many bright roles, earning a lot of audience sympathy. And since 2000, Irina has been creating her own theater company "Bal-Ast", which she later renamed under her own name. At this time, it was the main roles in entreprise that brought her immense popularity. Among the many theatrical performances of this period, I would especially like to highlight the production of Roman Viktyuk "Our Decameron XXI". And from 2012 to 2015, Apeksimova directs the Roman Viktyuk Theater. After being relieved of this post of her own free will and to this day, Irina heads the Taganka Theater.

Her work on television is also well known, where programs with her participation could never leave anyone indifferent from the audience. The intellectual game "Temptation" on TVS (2003), the program "Good Morning" on Channel One (2006-2009), the vocal show "Two Stars" with Alexander Marshal and later with Larisa Dolina and a solo program with a musical group under leadership of Timur Vedernikov "And Odessa is a girl for me!" (2011) - this is not a complete list of her outstanding work in this role.

Irina Apeksimova's debut in cinema took place in 1987 with the role of Ksyusha in the psychological thriller "Tower" by Viktor Tregubovich. And then her filmography began to be regularly replenished with the following film works: "Little Things in Life" (1992), "Limit" (1994), "Shirley-Myrli" (1995), "Mu-Mu" (1997), "Birthday of the Bourgeois" (2000), "Empire under attack" (2000), "Cage" (2001), "Yesenin" (2005), "Anti-sniper" (2007), "Bodyguard" (2008), "General's granddaughter" (2008), "Kostoprav" (2011), "Scouts" (2013), "Drunken Firm" (2016).

Recently, Irina Viktorovna Apeksimova has been actively involved in theatrical work. Her latest projects include the play "The Seagull 73458" at the Taganka Theater, the production of "Bench" at the Teatrium on Serpukhovka, and the "Theater March" festival in the Hermitage Garden.

Personal life of the actress

Behind the family life of a popular artist today there are two marriages and a daughter, Daria, who was born in 1994 and has now become an actress herself, taking the name of her grandmother - Avratinskaya. The first marriage with the famous actor Valery Nikolaev marked a very bright chapter in Irina's life. In this union, a daughter was born and a significant contribution was made to the development of creative life. However, the repeated departure of her husband to America to conquer Hollywood at a time when Irina was forced to stay after her first visit there in Russia, weakened family ties. And in 2000, the marriage broke up.

Re-registration at the registry office took place shortly after the first divorce. Apeksimova's chosen one was businessman Alexei Kim. However, this attempt to build a happy family nest was unsuccessful due to the endless scenes of her husband's jealousy.

Today, the artist's personal life is not particularly advertised, but it is known that she is often in the same company with motorcycle racer Oleg Kotelnikov, who is much younger than Apeksimova.
