Russia is the world's largest supplier of oil and its products. Including diesel fuel - perhaps the most widespread energy carrier. It is not surprising, therefore, that the question of the correct (both from the point of view of safety and from the point of view of the law) transportation of diesel fuel is so important and often people are interested in its solution.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, you need to take into account that diesel fuel can be transported by various means suitable for these purposes (transportation rules do not provide for any type of transport that would be prohibited). Therefore, the following types of transport are suitable for these purposes:

- railway;

- pipeline;

- sea;

- air transport;

- tank trucks and vehicles (including specially equipped cars).

Transportation by the last of the given modes of transport will be discussed in more detail in this article. This method requires special attention, due to the larger number of search queries compared to other transportation methods. This situation is explained by the fact that high costs are not required either for transportation or for its organization. That is why the use of vehicles for the transportation of diesel fuel is more popular among private business organizers and consumers of their services.

Step 2

The next step is to bring the chosen method in line with the technical requirements. In the case of road transport, diesel fuel must be transported in tanks that have a bottom drain, air valves, and a pressure control system. In addition, such tanks must necessarily have an internal coating that is resistant to diesel fuel and hot steam. It is also necessary to ensure that the used container is safe from sparks due to the action of electrostatic forces in order to avoid arbitrary ignition of the fuel (this is especially likely when the tanker moves directly) and the container must be grounded.

You cannot fill the tank more than 95% of its capacity - diesel fuel expands when heated (for example, in hot sunny weather), and therefore, in this case, it is necessary to leave free space in the tank.

Step 3

Now let's look at the requirements of laws and government standards. According to them, the tank should be painted in a bright orange or red color so that it can be easily noticed on the road from a long distance, it must have a well-readable inscription "Flammable" even from afar, as well as other important marks (name and brand petroleum product, net weight or volume, date of manufacture and batch number).

Detailed requirements for the transportation of petroleum products (including diesel fuel) are specified in GOST 1510-84. According to this standard, the transportation of diesel fuel with a volume of more than 1 cubic meter (that is, more than 1,000 liters) also requires the following documents:

- a document indicating the route of transportation;

- agreement of the European model on the international carriage of dangerous goods (ADR) - it says about the preparation of the driver for the carriage of dangerous substances;

- a document on the approval of a vehicle for the carriage of dangerous goods.

In addition, it is also necessary to mark the vehicle with hazardous cargo plates.

For the transportation of diesel fuel with a volume of less than 1 cubic meter, the above documents are not required.
