Although a traumatic weapon is not an excellent tool against criminals (especially armed ones), it still requires compliance with sometimes very strict requirements of the law. However, due knowledge of Russian legislation relieves the owner of the "traumatic" from unnecessary headaches, and sometimes opens up for him some inaccuracies in the laws that are very useful for him to know. In this article, we will look at the rules and features of the transportation of traumatic weapons.

Instructions

Step 1

Regarding the transportation of traumatic weapons, one should first of all be guided by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 07.21.1998 N 814 (the last edition of which is dated 02.28.2013) "On measures to regulate the circulation of civilian and service weapons and cartridges for them in the territory of the Russian Federation."

According to paragraph 75 of this law, it is possible to transport a traumatic weapon without permission if you move within that region (territory, republic, autonomous region, or a city of federal significance - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol) where your weapon was registered with bodies of internal affairs.

The law also establishes the need to transport traumatic weapons in cases, holsters or special cases.

For the rest, if you do not go "far from home", the transportation of traumatic weapons is not something very difficult from the point of view of the law. Therefore, you may also wish to provide yourself and those around you with additional safety measures, such as: put the weapon on the safety lock, carry it unloaded, etc.

Step 2

However, if you are going outside your area, in this case you will already need a special permit for this from the ATS, in which your weapon is registered. With this permit, you can also transport weapons by personal transport, intercity bus, in a compartment carriage.

Step 3

If you go to another area with a traumatic weapon on a reserved seat carriage, then you will need to hand over the pistol to the train foreman.

Step 4

When traveling by air, a citizen must surrender the available traumatic weapon to the police or the aviation security service. After that, the weapon will be sent for inspection, and its owner will need to draw up documents for its transportation. For this, an act is drawn up in 3 copies, which is signed by the owner of the traumatic weapon and the authorized person responsible for safety. One copy of the act remains with the citizen, the other goes to the crew, the third accompanies the luggage list. During the flight, traumatic weapons are stored in the cargo hold of the aircraft in a plastic or metal box. Upon arrival, the "disarmed" citizen provides the airport staff with an act, after which his weapon is returned to him.

Step 5

Perhaps the most difficult situation for you will be then if you suddenly get together for some of your goals to carry with you more than 5 units of traumatic weapons and / or over 400 cartridges for it (well, what if; after all, there are situations in life, you must agree) … In this case, based on paragraph 77 of the above law, transportation is carried out in the manner prescribed for legal entities. That is, to move weapons or ammunition in such quantities, you must, at a minimum, hire a two-person guard.
