Instructions

Step 1

Those servicemen who have no apartment of their own have the right to receive personal housing space. In addition, you can qualify for housing if the one in which you live does not meet the standards for area per family member, is dilapidated and found unfit for habitation.

Step 2

Contact Rosreestr for an extract about whether you have other housing. Remember: when applying, you do not need to indicate the subject of the Russian Federation if you have relatives in another region of Russia. In this case, information will be provided for all regions. If you want to speed up the process of obtaining an extract, specify specific regions. This can be done at any branch of the Fed.

Step 3

Calculate on your own whether your apartment in which you live meets the norm of 18 square meters per person. This takes into account the total, not the living area of the apartment. Thus, an apartment with a total area of 54 square meters is assigned to the family of a serviceman of three. If your rank is lieutenant colonel or higher, you should be provided with an additional area of 10-25 sq.m.

Step 4

Contact the passport office or the Housing Administration to obtain a statement of family composition. Next, you will need to contact the BTI for a cadastral plan of the apartment in which you live.

Step 5

In the event that the apartment in which you live does not belong to you, take a social or commercial rental agreement and contact the commander of the military unit. This will be enough to get housing. At the same time, it is important that you do not own your own home at all.

Step 6

In addition, you can apply for your own apartment if you have served in the armed forces of the Russian Federation for 20 years or more, or if you have retired with 10 years of experience. To do this, contact the command of the military unit to register you, attaching all the collected documents. All information about you will be transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense, and you will be put on the waiting list.
