Step 1
Only citizens who have turned 18 years old can buy weapons in Russia, they do not suffer from mental illness, alcoholism, drug addiction or substance abuse. To do this, they need to purchase a license first.
Nor will a license be issued to those who have an outstanding or uncleared conviction for an intentional crime. Those who are serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty will not receive it either. Citizens with administrative punishments committed several times during the year will also remain without a license.

Still, a license cannot be obtained by persons without a permanent place of residence, those who are registered in a narcological or neuropsychiatric dispensary. Step 2
Gas weapons are classified as self-defense weapons. These are pistols, revolvers, mechanical sprayers, as well as various aerosol devices containing tears or other irritating substances. By the way, cartridges for gas pistols and revolvers are also weapons.
Further on the list:
• Long-barreled smooth-bore firearms, including those firing cartridges with traumatic effects.
• Firearms and barrelless weapons, created in Russia, with cartridges of gas, light and sound and traumatic action.
The legislator also refers to weapons for self-defense:
• Electro shock devices.
• Spark gaps with output parameters and necessarily created at domestic enterprises.
Step 3
It's much easier with sporting weapons.
• This is a rifled firearm. That is, pistols, rifles, carbines.
• Firearms smooth-bore weapons. This number includes the same rifles and carbines.
• Sporting weapons are also cold bladed weapons. That is, swords, sabers, rapiers and so on.
• And the legislator also assigned to this class a throwing pneumatic weapon with a muzzle energy of more than 3 J.
Step 4
Hunting weapons include:
• Firearm with a rifled barrel.
• Firearm with a smooth barrel.
• Pneumatic with a muzzle energy not exceeding 25 J.
• As well as cold bladed weapons. These are knives, daggers, cleavers, stilettos and more.
Step 5
Acquisition of signal weapons is allowed in Russia. Basically, these are pistols and revolvers, with which you can give a sound, smoke or light signal. This number includes the so-called rocket launchers.
The last category is a cold bladed weapon, which is intended to be worn with a Cossack uniform, with various national costumes. These can be sabers, knives, daggers and other similar types of weapons.
