Instructions

Step 1

The sender's address should be located in the upper left corner of the envelope. Write your last name, first name and patronymic in the genitive case.

Step 2

Enter your address on the next line. As a rule, the sequence of writing the region, city, street, house and apartment numbers is not important. However, it is more logical to arrange this information in that order.

Step 3

Write your zip code on the last line. Try to write clearly, use block letters and do not abbreviate names.

Step 4

The data of the recipient of the letter should be located in the lower right corner. The sequence is the same here. Do not forget to indicate the full surname, name and patronymic of the addressee, because sometimes a passport is required to serve the letter.

Step 5

In the lower left corner, enter the recipient's index in a special form. If you are not sure if it is correct, check it with a postal worker or check it on the Russian postal website. The numbers should be written according to the pattern that is on the flap of the envelope. No corrections and blots. The use of red, yellow and green ink is prohibited.

Step 6

If there are no fields for addresses on the envelope, the procedure and rules for filling in the information remain the same.

Step 7

If you are sending a letter within any republic that is part of the Russian Federation, you can fill in all the details in the language of this republic, but you will have to duplicate the data in Russian as well.

Step 8

On international letters, recipient addresses are written in Latin letters (numbers - Arabic). You can write the address in the language of the recipient country, but be sure to repeat the name of the country in Russian.
