Anton Vladimirovich Slepyshev is a pupil of the Penza hockey. The athlete was born on May 13, 1994 in Penza. From a young age, the child showed interest in a healthy lifestyle, began to play sports.

Despite the fact that Penza is not a hockey city, the boy showed a special interest in ice hockey. Anton received his first sports education and first skills in using a club in his hometown. He started his playing career at a specialized school of the local HC "Diesel". For the children's team, the junior played at various regional tournaments, in which the talent of the future player gradually began to manifest.

The beginning of an adult career

In 2009, Anton Slepyshev's path began in adult hockey. His first team was the native team of "Diesel". True, the striker began playing for the reserve squad, which played in the First League in the 2009-2010 season. Slepyshev spent more than sixty matches in two seasons. He was noted for an effective game. In these games, Anton scored twenty-one goals and gave fourteen assists.

Hard work in the training process combined with natural talent allowed Anton Slepyshev to soon begin his career in the elite league of Russian hockey.

In 2011, scout agents of Metallurg Novokuznetsk drew attention to Slepyshev. Since the 2011-2012 season, the winger made his debut in the KHL. In the best hockey league in Europe, Slepyshev played 39 matches in his first season, in which he was able to score seven points according to the goal and pass system (scored 4 goals and helped his teammates to excel three times). During the season Slepyshev also helped the Kuznetsk Bears youth club.

During the 2012-2013 season, Anton Slepyshev was able to play in two KHL clubs. He started the season in Novokuznetsk, and then moved to Ufa. In the capital of Bashkortostan, he played for Salavat Yulaev. True, it was not possible to finally gain a foothold in the composition. In this regard, the forward was transferred to the Tolpar youth team. Slepyshev played for Ufa residents until the 2014-2015 season. This game year turned out to be the most productive for the striker. Still a young player, Anton played 58 matches in the KHL regular season, in which he scored 25 points (15 + 10) with a +1 utility. For Salavat he took part in five playoff matches. After the team was eliminated from the Gagarin Cup, Slepyshev went to help Tolpar in the elimination matches in the MHL.

The sports biography of Anton Slepyshev includes not only the period of the hockey player's performance in Russia. The famous club of the overseas NHL league "Edmonton Oilers" invited the domestic striker to try his hand at the highest level. In the 2015-2016 season, the striker played 11 matches in the “smooth” championship. The striker did not have any goalscoring achievements. The only effective action that season was an assist. In the first year in the new league, Slepyshev's game creativity was manifested mostly in the "oil workers" farm club in the AHL.

Since 2016 Slepyshev began to receive more playing practice at Edmonton. In the 2016-2017 season, Anton has already played 41 games in the regular season. He scored ten points in the matches (4 + 6). Slepyshev's club was able to break into the Stanley Cup playoffs. In the decisive matches, Anton showed himself more efficiently than contributed to the success of the team. For 12 matches, the young striker was able to score three times, but Edmonton failed to win the main trophy.

In the 2017-2018 season, Slepyshev played more than fifty games, in which he hit the opponents' goal six times and gave the same number of assists. After this season, Slepyshev returned to Russia, where he won the Gagarin Cup with CSKA.

In total, Anton played 114 matches in the NHL and scored 26 points (10 + 16).
