The song "I am ready to kiss the sand …" is considered to be the hallmark of Vladimir Markin. She became a hit after she sounded in the "Morning Mail". That's just not so simple with authorship. And the song has its own story.
They say that the popular singer Polad Bulbul-oglu performed the hit for the first time in the seventies. Perhaps this is so: it is almost impossible to find a record. But it is also pointless to deny: it is possible that this is true.
From the world on a thread
It is impossible to find the real authors of the yard folklore. Often the songs have lost their original version, but even after the release on the disc, the transformation continues. The bottom line is that there is no final version.
Together with the arranger Elbrus Cherkezov, the singer was listed as the author, but he did not deny the "courtyard" of the melody. Markin drew attention to himself by performing in the program "Funny guys". "Sand" consolidated the success. They decided to shoot the video in Alushta, where the singer worked for several years as a cult worker in the camp. The video was produced by Sergey Shustitsky.
The performer saw part of the verse of the song about sand performed by Markin in a poem by Igor Kobzev. The memorable motive is taken from "Memory" by Vladimir Pavlinov. Another verse was added by the editor Marta Mogilevskaya. It was she who organized and arranged the demonstration of the video on television. It turns out that they collected the song piece by piece in the literal sense.

Having received an assignment in 1986 to prepare a student edition of the most popular program "Morning Mail", Vladimir Markin got a chance to create and show his own number.
When the song sounded for the film crew, they laughed heartily at the performer, but they did not dissuade him either. The number was taken for a joke: it is impossible to put a yard song on a par with the hits of the classical stage. But the performer did not doubt his choice: the driveway lyrics attracted him from his youth. Vladimir collected yard songs. He collected a lot of examples of this creativity.
This number was new to the audience of the eighties. The courtyard song was first played on the program on the central channel. The picture was completed by the brand's "screech". The impression was that the exaggerated feelings and simple emotions of the yard folklore went on a par with the official art.
After the broadcast of the TV program "Sand" turned into a megahit. The popularity of Markin himself skyrocketed. They talked about his performance constantly. Someone remembered something similar, heard in a pioneer camp, someone was amused by the wrong note in the word "kiss".
Megahit
Few realized that this was done on purpose. Therefore, the reaction was unexpected: instead of laughter, the confused Markin, who parodied a teenager with a guitar, heard crying in the audience. And years later, the singer continues to adhere to the opinion that this hit should be played alone, and not for the public, in order to preserve the feeling of courtyard creativity.
After the show on television, the people's driveways "Bells" and "Lilac Mist" sounded.
The singer said that a discussion on the topic "Why kiss the sand" took place on the Internet forum. Most of its participants quite seriously insisted that this is a poetic image, proof of the power of feeling, such desires were expressed even by the classics.
Opponents also showed zeal, claiming that kissing the sand is unhygienic and simply stupid. Right, in general, everyone, but not every song after such a long period of time manages to cause such controversy. So Markin achieved his goal: he managed to hurt the audience.
