On February 2, in Russia on the STS channel, another project for young people was launched - the mystical series "The Moon" directed by Nikolai Sarkisov. In the first season, 30 episodes are announced. What inspired the writers to create such a masterpiece: the unabated fame of "Twilight", flashes in the sun, or the desire to beat all possible television ratings? Most likely, a craving for riddles and fantastic stories. Well, humanity cannot live without fairy tales.

What the series is about

The idea of the film did not fall from the sky and did not dream of the scriptwriters, like the table of chemical elements to Mendeleev. Everything is much simpler. The plot is borrowed from the Spaniards and is similar to the TV series "Luna, el misterio de Calenda" ("Full Moon") with some minor modifications.

In the evening, a new prosecutor, Ekaterina Panina, with her 17-year-old daughter, arrives in a small town in the middle of a forest. The motive for coming: not so much to take up a position as to reunite with her ex-husband - Nikolai, whom the mother and daughter had not seen for several years. Literally the next morning, Nikolai dies under mysterious circumstances, and panic begins in the city against the background of the revival of old legends about werewolves that were found in the wolf reserve.

A few bright love lines, a seasoning of mysteries and omissions - and the film becomes quite interesting, despite the abundance of blunders. On some forums, a serious struggle has already been played out on the topics: who will find more serial errors? And who is the werewolf after all?

Who plays whom in the series

The role of the prosecutor went to the actress Lydia Velezheva (Nastasya Filippovna in the Russian film adaptation of Dostoevsky's book The Idiot). An iron lady with a strong character is what Velezheva manages to play best.

Daughter Nastya is played by 21-year-old Daria Novoseltseva, a recent graduate of the Higher Theater School. Shchepkina.

The youth in the film is a delight to the eye. What is only Makar Zaporozhsky ("22 minutes", "Youth", etc.), playing a young werewolf Igor, who falls in love with Nastya according to the plot.

An interesting role went to the famous "Vale-Usach" from the series "Fizruk" - Daniil Vakhrushev. He plays Artyom, a friend of Nastya, who suffers from multiple atherosclerosis. According to the plot, the disease progresses and deprives the guy of the ability to walk normally. To recover, Artem is ready for anything, even to become a werewolf.

Famous names of the series: Alexey Barabash (Igor's father), Anatoly Kot (Nikolai Panin), Sergey Strelnikov (captain Roman Sokolov), Ksenia Lavrova-Glinka (Marina, Roman's wife), Alexey Oshurkov (captain Danilyuk) and Igor Filippov (mayor of the city) …

Interesting facts from the shooting

Coincidentally, the first day of shooting for Luna fell on a full moon. Basically, the scenes were filmed in special props pavilions. Street shooting took place in the village of Severny near Moscow and in the woodlands of the Moscow region.

Soft moonlight on night shots was created using color correction. On the set, the electricity was periodically cut off, but the actors and operators themselves did not believe in mysticism.

The characters of the series - real big wolves - could not be found for a long time. As a result, young animals and dogs of the "Czechoslovak Wolf" breed were filmed, and for the sake of intimidation, the size of the animals was increased with the help of a computer.
