Then there was an urgent service in the Soviet army, in the North Caucasian district, returning home, where perestroika had already begun, and there was no work, the death of his older brother. Studying at the Tambov Institute of Culture, where he entered after the death of his brother, did not attract the guy either.
Stas, like many young people, decided to try himself in commerce. He opened a videocassette rental shop, bought a machine for baking buns, and sang with a guitar in the evenings on the stage of a small Sochi restaurant.
But the ambitious guy was cramped in the restaurant, and he decided to storm the capital, since there were data for this. However, Moscow greeted him rather coolly - there were many like Stas in the city, and everyone wanted to sing. In order to somehow survive without asking for money from his parents, he had to earn money as a driver.

Arriving in Moscow in 1992, Stas understood that he needed not only to survive, but also to show his musical and vocal capabilities - he managed to break into the Variety Theater, worked there for 5 years, wrote songs at the same time, tried to promote them. The first real hit was the song "Candle".
The romantic performer began to be noticed. Mikhailov received several, albeit not so significant, awards for his compositions - a diploma from the Variety Midshipmen Festival and an Audience Award at the Star Rain competition.
In 1997, the financial situation has already made it possible to shoot the first video and record the first full-fledged song album "Candle". This was the beginning of success.
