Anna Kasatkina-Barats is an extraordinary Russian actress. Former husband, Leonid Barats, calls her an amazingly bright and decent person. Even having put an end to family relations, they remained business partners and continue to play on the same stage.
The beginning of the way
Anna Borisovna Kasatkina was born in 1968 in the city of Vladimir. She grew up in a simple family, but from an early age the child showed creative abilities. After leaving school, the girl firmly decided to get an acting education. In 1988, Anna entered GITIS at the Faculty of Variety, on the course of Vladimir Korovin. She studied with her future husband Leonid Barats and other members of the Quartet I.
Theatre
The young university graduate began her acting career at Lenkom. The girl entered the theater stage as a student. The audience remembered her work in Mark Zakharov's play Crazy Day or the Marriage of Figaro, as well as the role of the Princess in the Bremen Town Musicians directed by Stein.
In the same period, the actress began to take part in the productions of the comic "Quartet I": "These are just stamps", "La Comedy …", "Radio Day" and "Election Day".
Movie
2002 became a significant year in the artist's creative biography, the road to the world of big cinema was opened for her. She got the role of a ballerina in Life Goes On. The film told about the life of the students of the ballet school. For the sake of a career, they are ready to sacrifice their health and happiness, beauty and talent live next to intrigue and betrayal. Anna's film lover was preceded by a tiny episode in which she appeared in the tape "Your fingers smell of incense" 10 years earlier.
Most of the subsequent images created by the actress on the screen were associated with the adaptation of the same-name productions of Quartet I. In the film Radio Day (2008), she played the secretary Anya, in the film What Men Talk About, she appeared as the wife of a business trip, and in the second part of this tape, as Pasha's wife. The actress is familiar to viewers from the crime drama "Hour of Volkov" (2009), the serial film about the work of the investigative department of the prosecutor's office "Freud's Method" (2012) and the TV series "Margarita Nazarova" (2016) about the life of a famous trainer and actress. To date, the filmography of Kakatkina-Barats is 13 works.
Personal life
For more than 20 years the actress was the wife of one of the founders of the comic theater "Quartet I", screenwriter and director Leonid Barats. The two famous actors were connected not only by family life, but also by common theatrical works. The children Elizabeth and Eve were born in the marriage. The eldest daughter decided to follow in the footsteps of her parents and received her acting education in London.
In 2015, it became known that the couple, who appeared during their student days, broke up. Today Leonid has a new love - psychologist Anna Moiseeva. The spouses tried to make sure that their breakup did not affect their joint creativity and communication with children, to whom the father still devotes a lot of time. Kasatkina-Barats continues to play in the same theater with her husband and remains a member of the Quartet I team. I would like to wish this talented actress personal happiness and new big roles in theater and cinema.
