Childhood, adolescence

In 1954, Lyudmila was given the main role in the film "Tiger Tamer", which became a film debut. Viewers and film critics gave the actress the nickname "piglet" because of her small stature and diminutive figure. On the set of episodes with tigers, Kasatkina was replaced by Margarita Nazarova, the famous circus artist. However, later the actress had to go into the cage herself in order to shoot several scenes.

Subsequent works were roles in the movie "Honeymoon", "On the other side". The film "The Taming of the Shrew" by Sergei Kolosov, the wife of the actress, has become popular. Kasatkina collaborated with him on the set of the movie "Calling Fire on Ourselves." In the future, together they created 12 paintings that were successful.

In the 60s and 70s, Kasatkina starred a lot, in the 80s only 4 films appeared with her participation. Anna Fierling's Roads and Circus Princess became part of the Golden Fund. In recent years, she was also offered leading roles, these were the paintings "Looking for a Bride without a Dowry", "Lost in Paradise", "Poisons".

Lyudmila Ivanovna was invited to voice cartoons, she really liked this work. The panther Bagheera speaks in her voice in the Mowgli movie, the stepdaughter in the Twelve Months movie. In 1979, Kasatkina and her husband created a creative workshop in GITIS, which worked for 12 years.

In recent years, Kasatkina fought with Alzheimer's disease, spent a long time in the clinic. Lyudmila Ivanovna died on February 12, 2012, having outlived her husband for 11 days. She was 86 years old.

Personal life

Sergey Kolosov, a director, became the husband of Lyudmila Ivanovna. They met in the theater of the Soviet army. They had a strong family, they worked together for a long time. Kolosov and Kasatkina created 12 wonderful paintings.

In 1958 they had a son, Alexei. His profession is also creative - he is the leader of the Aura jazz band, composes music. Alexey hosted a series of programs dedicated to jazz, they were broadcast by Russian Radio. Alexey has 2 daughters - Lyudmila and Anna.
