TEFI is a prize awarded annually by the Academy of Russian Television Foundation. In its fifty nominations, academics celebrate the most significant achievements in the field of television arts. 48 of them relate to events with strictly limited time frames of one year, another one notes the person's long-term personal contribution to the development of domestic television. There is also a "Special Prize" without strictly specified criteria. The latest presentation of TEFI took place at the end of May this year.
Three works created and released in the period from the beginning of June 2010 to the end of August 2011 were admitted to the competition in 48 nominations. Television companies, production centers and studios could propose nominees, 555 Russian television academics voted for one or another participant, and the branch of the auditing company Ernst & Young was involved in the counting of votes. The results of the competition were summed up in two stages - on May 25, the results were announced and the winners were awarded in the nominations assigned to the "Professions" group, and four days later the awards were presented in the "Faces" section. These events took place in two different Moscow theaters and were broadcast on television.
In the "Professions" section, awards - statuettes of Orpheus by Ernst Neizvestny - were presented in 27 nominations. In the category indicated by the first number ("Infotainment program"), the TEFI prize was awarded to the program "Projectorperishilton" by the "Red Studio" company. She was also mentioned along with the Missing! See you soon”(Channel One) as the winner in the“On-air promotion of the project”nomination. In the category "Special Reporting" the prize was awarded to the work of REN TV "Notes of Protest". On this day, REN TV was also noted as having presented the best program about sports "Real Sport". Bronze Orpheus was awarded to four representatives of Amedia Production for the production of the series Closed School. And the series "Fortress" in the "Professions" section received four TEFI awards - its operator Vladimir Bashta received a bronze statuette in the nomination "Operator of a television feature film / series", Alim Matveychuk - in a similar nomination for production designers, Philip Lamshin - for sound engineers, Alexander Kott - for the main directors.
The "Faces" section included 21 nominations, of which five were won by representatives of REN TV - Mikhail Osokin and Ilya Doronov received awards for their work in the Novosti 24 news program, Marianna Maksimovskaya became a TEFI laureate in two categories at once, and Alexander Nadsadny was marked as a reporter programs "Pogromous Territory" from the cycle "Reporter Stories". Vladimir Pozner was awarded the prize as the best interviewer, and Alexander Gordon as the talk show host.
Of course, not only serious "Faces" from domestic television screens were awarded by the "Academy of Russian Television". The bronze statuette was received by the hosts of ProjectorParisHilton Garik Martirosyan, Sergey Svetlakov, Alexander Tsekalo and Ivan Urgant. In the nomination "Entertainment program. Lifestyle "won the international parody festival" Big Difference in Odessa ", and in the category" Humorous program "-" Duty in the country ".
