Natalia began to engage in "completely unfeminine" sports during her school years, with the famous Dzhiganchin. And it happened quite by accident - the girl and her friends went to a nearby school to admire the small museum of free-style wrestling. Medals, cups, certificates, photographs. There the coach noticed them and invited them to try their hand. Under the guidance of her mentor, Kamil Dzhiganchin, the talented and stubborn Natasha was able to defeat the champion of Russia at the freestyle wrestling tournament among girls.

And then the family moved to St. Petersburg, where the athlete continued training under the supervision of another coach, Dmitry Gercheglo. But Natalia did not forget the one who gave her a "ticket to big sport" - and gave him a car after receiving the Olympic title.
