And Grishina's theatrical debut took place while still a student, when she played the role of Masha Kanareikina in the play "My friend, Kolka!" and in the image of Keshka in the production of "The First Premiere" she began to realize her talent on stage.

And then the theatrical activity of Irina Georgievna was associated in the period from 1980 to 1985 with the Mossovet Theater, and since 1985 with the Moscow Art Theater.

Grishina's cinematic debut took place at the age of twenty with the role of a public activist nicknamed "My Boyfriend", which the press called "The Man of the Future." Following the deafening success of the first film work, the next year was followed by the role of Dusya the scout in the war film "Appointed a Granddaughter". This film project was also successful, so that after it Irina was regularly invited to shoot by many directors of the country.

However, in the period from 1989 to 2003, the actress's creative career in cinema was interrupted. But in subsequent years, she began to be realized with a vengeance in this role. The last film project with her participation is the film "The Family of the Maniac Belyaev" (2015), where she played the role of a neighbor at the entrance.
