Rosemary DeWitt (full name Rosemary Breddock) is an American theater and film actress. She began her creative career with performances on the theater stage, having played many roles in popular Broadway productions. She came to the cinema in the early 2000s.

The girl was born in the fall of 1971 in the United States. Her grandfather, J. Braddock, was a famous boxer who won the world heavyweight title. Becoming an actress, Rosemary played one of the roles in the biographical drama "Knockdown", which tells about the life and sports career of Braddock.
Rosemary has eight half-sisters and brothers from her father's previous marriage. Her ancestors lived in Ireland and Germany. Great-grandfather bore the surname Witt, but much later it was changed to DeWitt.
DeWitt spent her school years in Hanover, where she attended Whippany Park High School. During her studies, the girl was very fond of taking part in theatrical performances and various creative activities conducted by students. Even then, she decided that she would become an actress.

In 2009, actor Ron Livingston became DeWitt's husband. The couple have no children of their own, but they are raising two adopted daughters: Grace James and Esperanza May.
