Political asylum is a legal status granted by the state to a person who, for whatever reason, is persecuted in his home country. The granting of this status is governed by national legislation.

Step 1
You must wait 1 year from the date of your last entry into the United States, then you can apply for political asylum. Consult with a lawyer about how to apply for and receive political asylum in America. You can get refugee status while in the United States or without waiting for the expiration of the due period, if you are a member of religious minorities, a member of national minorities, or a person persecuted for political activity.
Step 2
You can apply ahead of schedule if you are of Russian nationality and live in one of the republics of the former USSR: Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, etc. Advantages in obtaining political asylum are women from Muslim countries who are persecuted because of their unwillingness follow the laws of Islam in relation to women. If you are a Soviet Jew or an Evangelical Christian, then according to The Lautenberg Amendment, you are viewed as a potential target for religious persecution and persecution in the CIS countries.
Step 3
Prove, first of all, the reliability of the grounds for your fear of persecution and persecution by the country in which you live or to which you must return.
