Arthur Berkut is a famous Russian rock musician, songwriter, composer and performer of songs. Gained the greatest popularity thanks to cooperation with the famous hard rock group "Aria".
Biography
Arthur's parents devoted most of their lives to the circus. In 1962, during a regular tour on May 24, a boy was born, who was named Arthur. Despite the fact that the circus history of the Mikheev family lasts for many years, the child did not follow in the footsteps of his ancestors. Instead, he became interested in music and from the age of 11 began performing with the school ensemble.
He was very fond of singing during his school years, and after graduating from school he decided to enter the famous "Gnesinka". After graduating from the vocal class, Arthur receives the first proposals from already well-known musical groups.
Career
Arthur Mikheev got his first experience of performing on the hard rock stage in the Magic Twilight group. The team was created long before the well-known "Aria" by students of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute V. Kholstinin and V. Dubinin. After the second left, Arthur received an invitation to take his place. He agreed, but did not stay there for a long time, after a month he left "Twilight" and moved to the new team "Autograph". Arthur, by and large, got the place of the soloist in this group thanks to the father of the former soloist. Under pressure from his father, a KGB officer, Sergey Brutyan was forced to leave his creative activity and take up science.
From that moment on, Arthur Mikheev became the voice of "Autograph". With the beginning of his new activity, the artist took on the pseudonym Berkut, by which fans and lovers of the heavy scene know him. The group lasted until 1990. At the end of the 80s, heavy performers began to actively conquer the stage, and "Autograph" with its intricate compositions began to actively lose ground, and by the 90th year, the leader of the group, Alexander Sitkovetsky, announced the disbandment of the collective. It is noteworthy that the last performance of the group was 1333th.
After a long collaboration with "Autograph" Artur Berkut managed to change about a dozen different little-known musical bands. In the period from 92 to 94, he even managed to work in the United States of America with the Siberia group. From 94th to 97th he played guitar for ZOOOM, along the way he wrote lyrics and music for the band. For a long time he performed as a session (temporary) musician in already known bands.
In 1998, together with Sergei Mavrin, he recorded a debut album for the Mavrik label, in some compositions he acted as an author. After a short collaboration, due to constant disputes about the future of the group, Arthur leaves the project. In 2000, Berkut, together with the author and poet Sergei Elin, tried to revive the famous "Autograph", but faced with disapproval from the copyright holders, the guys abandoned the idea.
Nevertheless, a new team “Berkut” appears. In 2002, the band's debut album "Until death do us part" was released. The group is already throwing ideas for the future album and plans to arrange a tour, but at this time an unpleasant event takes place in the camp of the legendary "Aria". After a scandal, Valery Kipelov left his team.
Vladimir Kholstinin, who has already worked with Berkut in the framework of the Magic Twilight project, asks him to join the group. After a short meeting with Sergei Elin, Arthur accepts the invitation.
In 2003, the long-awaited album "Baptism by Fire" was released. The work turned out to be harder than usual, and in addition, the new voice of the soloist provoked a split among the devoted Aryans. From that moment on, the fans of the group were divided into fans of "Aria" with Kipelov and into fans of "Aria" led by Berkut. Several singles of the group were released over the following years. In 2005, Berkut still manages to reassemble the "Autograph" collective, and by the 25th anniversary they release the disc "25 years later".
Next year "Aria" records the second disc with a new soloist, this work is perceived by the fans much better. Big tours of the cities of Russia begin, along the way the group stops in the studio to record the next singles. The last joint work of Arthur with the "Aria" group appeared in 2009. The single "Battlefield" was supposed to be the harbinger of the next numbered album. Berkut was actively working on new material, but in 2011, suddenly for all fans and for Arthur himself, Vladimir Kholstinin announced the termination of all agreements with the vocalist.
The last performance of the group "Aria" with vocalist Artur Berkut took place at the end of August of the same year. After leaving the Aryans team, Arthur decides to revive the once abandoned Berkut project. Already in September, a small collection entitled "The Right Is Given" comes out, with the material of which the team gives numerous concerts around the country. The next year the guys released another small collection "To Each His Own".
The group's first full-length album was released only in 2014. The presentation of the work "Winners are not judged" took place in the Moscow club Monaclub. The group recorded the second disc in 2016. The album was named "Suite of the eternal theme". The following year, the single "Be yourself" was released.
In 2018, in the city of Kemerovo, the premiere of the unique symphonic project "Heaven" took place, in which Arthur Berkut took direct part. In addition to recording albums and concerts, Arthur takes an active part in the projects of other musicians, conducts master classes in vocal skills and participates in charity work.
