Step 1
Go to the community (group) page and open a new discussion. In the title of the topic, indicate the issue under discussion - it should attract the attention of visitors and community members. In the body of the first message, please provide more details on your idea. Save the discussion.
Step 2
Find and click the Create Poll command on the right above the discussion. Enter the question you want to discuss with the group members. For example: "Is there life on Mars?" Enter the answer options below: "Definitely yes", "Definitely no". If there are more than two options, click the "Add option" button as many times as you want to add options. For example, if you want only the third option, then press once and enter: "Until I see, I will not believe." You can enter your options.
Step 3
Identify survey participants. It can be either all members of the group, or only its leadership.
Step 4
Additional attention to the survey will be attracted by the placement on the home page. Click the "Post to Home" button on the left under the survey.
Step 5
To view the interim results, the participant must answer a question. Non-voting group members and community guests will see interim results immediately upon entering the voting page.
Step 6
To end voting, click the Close button on the left under the poll on the discussion page.
