Although hundreds of thousands of people come to Los Angeles every year to become movie stars, only a few of them manage to achieve real success. How to overcome huge competition and become a movie star?
Instructions
Step 1
Get a special education by graduating from one of the theater or cinematographic higher educational institutions in the country. Already during your senior year, start looking for opportunities to participate in filming as an extra actor. Perhaps your type will appeal to the casting manager, and you will be offered a more significant role. You can get into the crowd without having a professional theatrical education. Sometimes it is enough to look through ads on the Internet.
Step 2
During filming, even in the smallest role, try to show your best side. Do not try to immediately start demonstrating your bright personality, as any director needs responsible performers more often than eccentric “stars” - newcomers.
Step 3
Assess your strengths adequately, do not try to take on those roles that you are not yet capable of. Any mistake can permanently block your path to the world of cinema.
Step 4
Work in extras and in secondary roles for 2-3 years. If during the entire period none of the directors paid attention to you, then it is better to give up the career of a film actor. However, if you have at least 2 prominent roles in your creative baggage, you can start preparing for your trip to Hollywood. Improve your English speaking skills and exercise to keep fit.
Step 5
When starting to storm the heights of Hollywood, remember that you will have to start your career from scratch. However, the experience gained on the Russian stage will work for you.
Step 6
Find an acting agent to help you join an acting union, as without this you may not count on any prominent role. A novice actor who came from Russia will have to go through a very long and difficult path in order to one day become a world celebrity.
