The publicistic TV channel "Who's Who" is an analogue of the well-known The Biography Channel. Here you can watch films and stories from the life of celebrities, socially significant heroes. Before being shown on air, all material is approved on the official website. The channel's slogan is: "Know, which you need to know."
Broadcasting is based on documentaries about the biographies of outstanding people of the past and present, about famous actors, writers, politicians, artists, about everyone whose life and deeds are interesting to users. The channel can be found in the networks of cable operators in the Baltics, CIS countries and Russia, in the basic extended package "NTV Plus".
"Who's Who" was founded in the summer of 2007 by TV producer Vladimir Ananich, the first broadcast took place on November 13. Irina Mishina, formerly a famous TV presenter, has been working as the channel's editor-in-chief since 2009. Documentary films are shot:
- Varvara Urizchenko;
- Lilia Vyugina;
- Vladimir Glazunov.
Popular programs are: "The Tail of a Comet" - tells about the Russians, for one reason or another, found themselves outside the homeland; “It was recently, it was long ago” - a cycle of historical programs, conducted by Edward Radzinsky; "Moya Pravda" - a program about Russian celebrities, includes documentary footage, historical photographs, interviews with eyewitnesses of events and relatives of the characters.
Today at Who's Who you can watch the film Mozart Superstar. The creators of the picture presented the legendary composer as the first superstar in the history of popular classical music.
Documentary films about legendary people are created on the basis of exclusive materials and documents. For its professionalism, the channel was awarded a high award - a special prize of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation "For the creation of a portrait gallery of figures of Russian journalism."
