Aslambek Aslakhanov is not only an experienced politician and legal scholar. He does a lot for the development of sports. Being a high-class sambist, Aslakhanov strives to popularize this type of martial arts. Sports, however, do not prevent Aslambek Akhmedovich from paying much attention to public work.
From the biography of A. A. Aslakhanova
The future Russian politician, professor and doctor of sciences was born in the Chechen village of Novye Atagi on March 11, 1942. Before the end of the war, the family was deported to Kyrgyzstan, where Aslakhanov went to first grade. At first, I had to live almost in a chicken coop. The food was scarce. The Chechen boy spent all his free time on the street. He fought with other guys, felt the taste of thug romance. Aslambek's father had to rescue his son from the police more than once. But he got there not for a crime, but when he defended the unjustly offended.
He graduated from the Aslambek school already in Grozny. He received further education in Kharkov, where he entered the law faculty of the pedagogical institute. After that he served in the police in the same Ukraine.
1981: Aslakhanov receives a red diploma from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and becomes a senior inspector of the department for combating violations of the law in the economic sphere. Working in the apparatus of the security department, he made his career from lieutenant colonel to lieutenant general.
In 1989, Aslakhanov took part in the action to free the hostages at the airport of Azerbaijan, for which he later received an order.
General Aslakhanov left military service in the early 90s. For some time after his retirement, he traveled to different countries, giving lectures. Sometimes a lecturer received up to a thousand dollars per hour. This made it possible to provide support to relatives in Chechnya.
Further career of a Chechen politician
Aslakhanov was one of those who began to support the odious Dzhokhar Dudayev. But during the hostilities, he criticized the power policy of the leader of the Chechen separatists and agreed to become a mediator in negotiations with the Russian authorities.
At the beginning of the new century, Aslakhanov was elected a deputy from Chechnya to the country's highest legislative body. Became one of the leaders of the State Duma Committee. Then he showed himself well as an adviser to the head of state on the problematic North Caucasus region.
Aslakhanov combined active political activity with scientific research. He is the author of several dozen authoritative publications in the field of jurisprudence. Many of his proposals on legal issues have been taken into account in the development of Russian legislation.
The Chechen politician is also known for his significant achievements in sports. His love for physical culture originated from his youth: Aslambek served in a sports company. Aslambek Akhmedovich is a first-class sambist. He is also fluent in judo and freestyle wrestling techniques. One of the stages of the World SAMBO Championship is held under the patronage of the Master of Sports A. Aslakhanov.
Aslambek Akhmedovich has a large and friendly family. He raised six children.
