Georgy Dzhikia is the leading defender of Spartak Moscow. Georgian by nationality, but defends the colors of the Russian national team.
Biography
The future defender was born in November 1993, in Moscow. George's parents fled the war from their native Sukhumi to Moscow. At that time, George's mother was pregnant, the future defender was born in Moscow. According to some reports, the parents' home was destroyed during a military clash in Sukhumi.
At the age of 6, Dzhikia joined the Victoria children's team. At the age of 10, he changed Victoria to the team of the Moscow branch of Lokomotiv in Perovo. In a word, despite the difficult conditions, the parents tried to maintain their son's talent and provide him with the opportunity to play football. The defender signed his first contract at the age of 18 with the Moscow “railroad workers”. For two years he played in the reserve team of Lokomotiv, had 64 meetings and distinguished himself with two accurate shots.
Career
In the winter of 2014, Georgy went to gain experience in one of the FNL clubs, in Spartak from the city of Nalchik. In the spring, the defender made his debut in the FNL championship. In Nalchik, he played only 8 matches, nothing noticeable was noted. In the summer of 2014, the defender went on loan to the city of Dzerzhinsk, the local "Chemist" temporarily sheltered Dzhikia. In Chemist, the central defender played a season in the FNL championship and scored twice in the opponent's goal.
In 2015, it was time for Djikia to try his hand at the Russian Premier League, the defender signed a contract with Perm “Amkar”. In the summer, Dzhikia made his debut in the elite championship, in the match with the Samara Krylia. In the winter of 2016, Jikia signed a contract with Muscovites. In just six months, Jikia became the main defender of the team and the champion of Russia in football.

The team won the Russian Super Cup, and Jikia himself scored his debut goal for Spartak, and in the fall he extended his contract with the team. In the winter of 2018, the unexpected happened, in a control match at the training camp, the defender was injured, tore the cruciate ligaments of the knee. At the moment, the footballer has fully recovered from his injury and is already playing in the starting lineup of Muscovites.
In official meetings for the national team, George made his debut in the Confederations Cup match against New Zealand, played all the matches in the tournament. Due to an injury in the winter of 2018, Jikia missed the home World Cup.
Personal life
In 2017, the defender faced a dilemma: to play for the national team of Georgia (historical homeland) or the national team of Russia. As a result, as we know, Jikia chose Russia. George has two brothers, one works as a dentist, and the other is only 12 years old.
The charming Georgian prefers to keep his personal relationships with women secret. He says that he is already ripe to start a family, but who will become the chosen one of the famous defender is still unclear.
