A hostel is a place where nonresident students temporarily live. It is provided by an educational institution on the basis of a certain set of rules. Most often, students live in hostels due to their relatively low cost. But how do you claim to be provided with a dorm room?
Instructions
Step 1
Go to your school. Most likely, at one of the meetings with applicants, the question of the hostel was raised. You should find out in which of the authorities of your university you need to apply.
Step 2
Find out what kind of documents you need to submit. In most cases, this will be a photocopy of the passport, an application addressed to the rector and certain certificates. You need to collect all these documents, fill out the application correctly, and only then go to the authority that you discovered in the course of step 1. Be sure to find out what the complete set of necessary documents is, because in most cases, if at least one of them is missing, you do not have all the rest will accept.
Step 3
If you have any benefits, be sure to provide information about them along with basic documents. Remember that beneficiaries are entitled to priority check-in at the hostel.
Step 4
If you are a family of two students, you need to register at the university. Rooms are provided for families on a separate basis. If you study at different universities, you need to register at both, and the administration will already decide which of the hostels you will be accommodated in.
Step 5
If you were denied a dorm room located within the city, agree to a regional hostel. When the rooms of the city hostel are vacated, the priority right of settlement belongs in most cases to those who already live in the regional one.
Step 6
If you are not a nonresident student, but you need to get a dorm room, you have the right to apply for a check-in. Further, in accordance with Art. 16 of the Law "On Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education", you can be provided with a room subject to the availability of free places left after the settlement of nonresidents.
