Abel Hernandez is a famous football player of Uruguayan origin, nicknamed "the pearl". Plays for the Russian football club CSKA and the national team of Uruguay.
Biography
In August 1990, on the eighth, in the small Uruguayan town of Pando, the future football player Abel Hernandez was born. Since childhood, the boy was fond of sports and went to the football academy "Atalanta" in his hometown. When Abel was eleven years old, he was screened in the more prestigious Uruguayan club "Penarol". Having successfully demonstrated his skills and talents, he was enrolled in the school and youth team. Hernandez did not have a strong physique, and for this reason four years later he was expelled from the Academy "Peñarol". But there was a football school that opened the doors to young Hernandez. He was admitted to the youth team of Central Espanyol, where he received his sports education.
Player career
In 2006, the promising young footballer signed his first professional contract with Central Espanyol. Since 2007, he began to play for the main team and firmly established himself there. But after a season, he returned to "Penarol", from the academy of which he was expelled. At the club, he could not prove himself and played only eight matches.
In 2009, the scouts of the Italian “Palermo” noticed the talented footballer, and in February of the same year, the club bought out part of the rights to Hernandez, retaining the right to buy out the player in full. Abel Hernardes spent five seasons in the main tournament of Italy's Serie A. According to the results of the 2013 season, Palermo was unable to score points in order to retain the right to play in the main tournament of Italy and was relegated to Serie B for the next season. Season in the second division of the country brought Hernandez his first title. Together with the team, they took first place in Serie B and regained the right to play in the main league of Italy.
In 2014, the footballer was offered to move to foggy Albion, to the Hull City football club. In England, Abel spent four seasons with varying success: the club was demoted to the championship, then returned to the Premier League again. During this period, the player was closely watched by the scouts of the Russian club "CSKA" and in the summer of 2018 the club made an offer to move to the camp of the army club. In August, a three-year personal contract was agreed.
National team
Abel Hernandez has been playing for the Uruguay national team since 2010. In total, the young footballer has 28 matches in the colors of the national team and 11 goals scored. Hernandez is also the winner of the America's Cup in 2011 and the owner of a personal record in the national team: he has four creative goals scored in the confederation cups.
Personal life
The famous footballer is not married, but he has a girlfriend named Flora, who moved to Russia after her beloved moved to CSKA. The couple has no children yet.
