Since its inception, cinema has been considered the most democratic form of art. Any talented person could appear on the screen in the form of a hero or a villain. Alexander Susnin agreed to any role that the director offered him.
Country childhood
By the standards of modern cinema, a good film must have a superman. And it doesn't matter in what capacity, positive or negative. In a short period by historical standards, different rules were in force. The heroes of the films were ordinary Soviet people - village men, military men, workers. Such characters were embodied on the screen by the Honored Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Alexandrovich Susnin. He can be compared to a master all-rounder who takes the task at hand seriously.
The future actor was born on November 13, 1929 in a military family. Three sisters were already growing up in the house. Parents at that time lived in Leningrad. My father served in a tank unit. The mother was engaged in housekeeping and raising children. When Alexander was four years old, he was sent to his grandmother in the Ryazan village for rural grubs. Here Susnin grew up and was brought up until he came of age. He worked in the garden. Helped my grandfather on the mow. He did well at school. Addicted to reading. Participated in social events and amateur performances.
Creative activity
After graduating from school, Susnin decided to study as an artist, and get a specialized education at the famous VGIK. It was not possible to get into the number of students the first time, but Alexander showed perseverance. He mastered the course of acting in the studio of the famous Boris Babochkin, who played the title role in the film "Chapaev". After graduating from the institute in 1952, the graduated actor entered the service of the Film Actor's Studio Theater. Alexander organically embodied on the screen the images of heroes in military uniform. He was easily noticed and remembered by the audience in the films "Outpost in the Mountains", "Maxim the Quail", "The Sea Calls".
Susnin's acting career developed progressively, without sharp ups and downs. In the mid-50s he was invited to one of the central roles in the film "Anxious Youth". It is interesting to note that Alexander worked in the frame together with his mentor Boris Andreevich Babochkin. After a while, critics noticed that Susnin prefers to play positive roles. Although he presented negative characters quite convincingly. This fact is confirmed by participation in the films "Tashkent - the city of bread" and "Pursuit".
Recognition and privacy
By nature and upbringing, Susnin was a workaholic. For him, work has always come first. But in his personal life, he adhered to traditional rules. He met his wife by chance when he was looking for a place to live in Leningrad. Valentina invited the young man to live in an empty room, which she inherited from her grandmother. After a while, the tenant and the hostess got married. Husband and wife have lived under the same roof for over forty years. Honored Artist of Russia died in July 2003 after a long illness.
