Ann Morgan Gilbert is an American actress. She is known to viewers for her comedic supporting roles. She has starred in the acclaimed TV series Grey's Anatomy, Family of America and Seinfeld.
Biography
Ann Gilbert was born on October 16, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from high school and later was educated at Stanford University. During her student years, she played in the theater. In the 1950s, Anne was invited to play on Broadway productions. Later, Gilbert got on television.
Her first husband was the American writer George Eckstein. Their marriage lasted from 1951 to 1966. Their family had two daughters: Nora in 1955 and Halley in 1962. Anne's second husband was actor Guy Raymond. They got married in 1967, and Guy died in 1997. Gilbert passed away on June 14, 2016. Anne's daughter, Nora Eckstein, is an American actress. She married Marek Sekovka. A daughter, Clara, was born in their family. Gilbert's second daughter, Halle Todd, also became an actress. She married colleague Glenn Whitrow and gave birth to his daughter Ivy Whitrow, who continued the acting dynasty.
