Lily Rabe was born in New York on June 29, 1982. This American actress was nominated for a Tony Award. The audience remembered her most of all for her roles in the television anthology series American Horror Story.
Biography and personal life
Lily is the daughter of playwright David Rabe. Her mother is actress Jill Clayburgh, who passed away in 2010. In addition to Lily, 2 brothers grew up in the family, one of whom chose an acting career, and the other a musical one. Lily's father is Catholic, and her grandparents were Jewish and Protestant. The future actress spent her childhood in Bedford, later moved to Lakeville, Connecticut. Lily graduated from Hotchkiss High School.
In her youth, the actress danced and taught ballet. It was in the classroom that she was noticed and invited to participate in the play. Lily began to think about her acting career. Rabe graduated from Northwestern University in 2004.
Since 2013, Lily has been living with actor Hamish Linklater. Together they are raising a daughter who was born in 2017. Prior to Rabe Hamish, he was married for ten years to playwright Jessica Goldberg, with whom he has his first daughter.

Lily's career began with the lead role in the 2001 film Never Again. In 2005, Rabe starred in the Broadway production of Steel Magnolias as Annette.
