Sarah Wayne Callies is an American actress best known as Laurie Grimes in The Walking Dead.
Before career
Sarah Wayne Callies was born on June 1, 1977 in La Grange, Illinois. She lived in her hometown for only two years. Then the family moves to the city of Honolula, which is located in the state of Hawaii and where almost 400 thousand people live.
Both parents of the future actress were teachers. David Callis, her father, was a law professor and taught at the University of Hawaii. Valerie Wayne, her mother, worked in the English department at the same university.
Sarah Wayne Callies attended a prestigious private school, which she later graduated from. Further, the actress was educated at the Conservatory of the National Theater in Denver and in 2002 she received a Master of Fine Arts degree.
Career as an actress
