Daniel Jacob Stern is an American comedy and adventure actor, director, screenwriter and producer. He has more than seventy movie roles, but most viewers around the world remember him as one of the bandits named Marv Merchants in the comedies Home Alone and Home Alone 2. These films were included in the list of "100 Funniest American Films in 100 Years."
Together with his fellow actor Joe Pesci, who played the second bandit Harry Lyme in the films Home Alone and Home Alone 2, the actor became a contender for inclusion in the list of the AFI's 100 Best Heroes and Villains.
