Nina Aleksandrovna was born in the Altai Territory on December 26, 1955. Her small homeland is a village with the symbolic name Pobedim. As Ostanina herself admitted, this name largely determined her future political fate, became a kind of motto.

Nina studied at a simple rural school, and then continued her education, entering the Altai University. Ostanina chose the profession of a historian. Coming out of the walls of the university, Nina Aleksandrovna taught at the local medical institute. Then she became a member of the Communist Party. She connected her entire life with this political association, remaining faithful to communist ideas even after the collapse of the official secular ideology.

In 1983, Ostanina and her family moved to Kuzbass. Nina Aleksandrovna was in charge of the office of political education at one of the mines in Prokopyevsk. Gave lectures from the city party committee. She worked at the Mining and Metallurgical Academy of Novokuznetsk. Ostanina always tried to be in the midst of the masses and was not afraid of rough work.

Career politician

The perestroika years passed, the political course of the state changed. In 1993, Ostanina joined the supporters of the "People's Power" bloc, who supported A. Tuleyev, and even entered the leadership of the association.

Two years later, Nina Aleksandrovna becomes a member of the country's parliament. She was responsible for regional policy in the lower house of the main legislative body of Russia. Ostanina's deputy activities continued in the future. In the Duma of the fourth convocation, Ostanina was a member of the Communist Party faction. By the end of 2004, Nina Aleksandrovna headed the Kemerovo Regional Committee of the Communist Party.

Nina Ostanina is a candidate of sciences. The sphere of her scientific interests is sociology. Nina Alexandrovna's qualification work was related to the study of social and managerial aspects of the youth labor market.

In 2010, Ostanina made a number of critical remarks about A. Tuleyev, which caused discontent among the supporters of this politician. A year later, Nina Aleksandrovna moved from the regional committee to the central apparatus of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. At the current stage of his deputy's activity, Ostanina is in charge of the apparatus of the communist faction. She often appears in television programs discussing the problems of youth and social policy of the state.

Nina Aleksandrovna, together with her husband, raised two sons. The fate of one of them, Daniel, was tragic: he was accused of murdering a business partner. D. Ostanin, who has fully admitted guilt, is serving a term established by the judicial authorities in a colony with a strict regime.
