The world chronometer dispassionately counts down days, years and eras. The number of writers who lived and worked during the Soviet era is becoming less and less alive. Vladimir Sergeevich Bushin is one of those who, with his creativity and deeds, defend his native Socialist Fatherland.

A distant start

According to the observations of historians and literary critics, in the Russian state until 1917, writers and poets, as a rule, came out of the nobility and the emerging bourgeoisie. After the Great October Socialist Revolution, the situation in society changed dramatically. The famous Soviet writer Vladimir Bushin was born on January 24, 1924. The family at that time lived in one of the villages of the Moscow province.

The future writer from an early age was brought up in traditional Russian rules. They didn't shout at Volodya, they didn't flog them with reins. The boy was calmly and consistently taught to work in the courtyard, and then in the field. Peasant work is not hard, but monotonous and tedious. All day, from dawn to dusk, walking in the field for a plow is not easy. Bushin was not afraid of difficulties and always moved towards the problems and challenges that emerged on the horizon.

Vladimir Sergeevich used a similar approach throughout his adult life. The boy did well at school. His favorite subjects were Russian language and literature. He was actively involved in a literary circle. Participated in the work of the primary Komsomol organization. He wrote poems and stories for the school wall newspaper. He received his certificate of maturity three days before the start of the Great Patriotic War.

Formation period

The biography of the writer briefly says that he was drafted into the army in the fall of 1942. The dramatic events of that time are hidden behind these lines. Vladimir Bushin, at the time of the call, had not yet turned 18 years old. The soldiers in the trenches were experiencing colossal nervous tension. And only after the battle of Stalingrad there was a firm conviction of our victory. In the most difficult and hopeless days, the young poet wrote poetry full of optimism and self-confidence.

Vladimir Bushin's poems were regularly published in the army newspaper, which was called "The Defeat of the Enemy." Thus, the fighter combined literary creativity with the performance of combat missions. At the front, the young poet joined the Communist Party. The unit, in which Private Bushin served, was redeployed to the Far East after participating in the assault on Konigsberg. The fighting in Manchuria was short and bloody.

In 1946, after demobilization, Bushin entered the famous Literary Institute. Together with him, many poets and writers who went through the front-line school received education. It so happened that by a majority of votes, Vladimir Sergeevich was elected secretary of the Komsomol committee of the institute. The front-line soldier justified the confidence of his comrades. He always tried to help a classmate when he had difficulties in his studies or personal life.

Professional activity

After graduating from the Literary Institute, in 1951, Bushin was hired to work in the editorial office of the weekly Literaturnaya Gazeta. The issue of a periodical is an interesting and exciting business. Both in those days and in subsequent periods, "Literaturka" raised the most acute topics that touched every Soviet person. The whole country read the newspaper without the slightest exaggeration. It was during this period of time that Vladimir Bushin developed an interest in journalism.

This interest was fueled by the processes that took place in Soviet society. The fake disclosures of Stalin's "personality cult" pushed the journalist to a deeper and more comprehensive study of the country's recent history. Bushin not only writes articles with an analysis of topical problems, but is also engaged in literary work. Several books of prose and poetry collections came out from the pen of the writer.

In the early 1960s, Bushin was invited to head the prose department at the Molodaya Gvardiya magazine. A well-known writer spends a lot of time communicating with authors who bring their works to the editorial office. It is very important to discern a person's ability to write through the manuscript. It is not always possible to do this. Vladimir Sergeevich helps budding writers with advice, hints, and recommendations.

Fight for the truth

The career of the writer Bushin was developing successfully. His works were read. We were eagerly awaiting the release of new books. The writer and publicist promptly reacted to the events taking place in the country. He was one of the first to notice the double-dealing of his fellow workers. Long before perestroika, the journalist's keen eye noticed a falsity in the behavior and work of the then popular bard Bulat Okudzhava. I noticed and wrote a critical article that not everyone liked.

In his works, Vladimir Bushin reasonably exposes the treacherous position of the writer Solzhenitsyn. Exposes consistently, reasonably, with the provision of documentary data. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the writer did not hide his pen in a pencil case. Vladimir Bushin has not changed his creative regime. He works regularly, with rare weekends. Bookstores are eagerly awaiting his new books, which are sold out in a matter of days.

It is difficult to overestimate the writer's contribution to Russian journalism. Today, despite his advanced age, he remains among the active writers. In this context, it is important to note that Vladimir Bushin has a strong family. Husband and wife treated each other with love and respect throughout their long lives.
