Since ancient times, wrestling has been considered a men's sport. Nikita Melnikov came to the gym as a child. Over the years, he honed the technique of performing basic techniques. He won the title of world champion in an uncompromising battle.
Starting conditions
Despite the development of human civilization, rudeness and cruelty remain in the surrounding reality. To withstand such influences, a person needs to have physical strength. Nikita Vasilievich Melnikov came to the section of Greco-Roman wrestling for a reason. He followed an example from his elders and possessed optimal physical data. The boy imagined that sports were fundamentally different from street fights. A properly set training process allowed him to achieve decent results.
The future world champion was born on June 27, 1987 in a sports family. At that time, the parents lived in the famous town of Shakhty in the Rostov region. His father, a master of sports of the USSR in boxing, trained young athletes. Mother worked as a nurse in a polyclinic.
When he was seven years old, the father took his son to the classical wrestling section. This decision was made after a thorough analysis of the initial data. The head of the family came to the conclusion that, according to his bodily constitution, Nikita is preferable to wrestling, rather than boxing.
Sports achivments
Melnikov studied well at school. He didn't have enough stars from the sky, but in all subjects he had a solid “four”. He began to accumulate practical experience of performances at city and regional tournaments. Not all the fights on the mat were won. Rare defeats did not unsettle, but made me mobilize and hone my skills. In the late 90s, children all over the country began to get involved in taekwondo. Nikita also watched with interest on TV as the athletes broke boards with their bare hands. After school, the promising wrestler moved to Krasnoyarsk and began training at the Central Sports Club of the Air Force.
In 2010, Melnikov won first place at the Russian Championship. The next season he received a bronze medal at the Ivan Poddubny tournament. And in 2012 he was included in the national team. Nikita's sports career was quite successful. At the 2013 World Championships, which was held in Budapest, the Russian wrestler climbed to the highest step of the podium. At the European Championship 2016 Melnikov "took" gold. However, he did not make it to the Olympic team due to injury.
Prospects and personal life
The athlete looks to the future with confidence. Despite the busy schedule of training and competitions, Melnikov received a specialized education at the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism.
The personal life of the titled wrestler went well. Nikita is legally married. The husband and wife live in their own apartment and have two children.
