Nikita Dolgushin is a man who devoted his whole life to ballet. He was an outstanding dancer, choreographer, choreographer and talented teacher. The artist's achievements were marked by many awards, but Nikita Aleksandrovich always considered the main thing to be the recognition of the public and the opportunity to do what he loved in full force.
Childhood and youth
The biography of Nikita Dolgushin was complex and difficult, but he himself always considered himself a lucky person. The future prime minister was born in 1938, and the war broke out 3 years later. Nikita barely survived the blockade, the consequences affected his health.
The boy who dreamed of ballet entered the V. AND I. Vaganova. It was not easy to study, but the teachers noted the diligence and excellent physical abilities of Dolgushin. After graduating from college, Nikita was admitted to the renowned theater of opera and ballet. CM. Kirov (now Mariinsky).
Despite his youth, Dolgushin was immediately entrusted with serious games, with which he coped brilliantly. However, the academic ballet could not fully satisfy the ambitions of the new premier. Nikita dreamed of innovation and experiments, which were not welcomed at the Kirov Theater.
Looking for something new
The promising dancer was invited to the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, offering him a place as a leading soloist. At the beginning of the 60s, the capital of Siberia gained fame as a bold and innovative city, accepting talents that did not take root in the capitals.
Dolgushin himself recalled this time with pleasure. In 1961-1966 he sang all the leading parts. Nikita's calling card was the role of Albert from "Giselle": characteristic, original, giving a lot of scope for character development. In parallel, Dolgushin was engaged in the development of new programs in cooperation with Yu. N. Grigorovich and P. A. Gusev. In 1964 he made his debut as a choreographer. Nikita has staged several one-act ballets, himself participating in them as a premiere.
In 1968 Dolgushin returned to Leningrad and worked at the Maly Opera and Ballet Theater (now Mikhailovsky). Among the outstanding works is the production of the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" by P. A. Tchaikovsky, in which Nikita brilliantly performed the leading part. Dolgushin boldly included in the repertoire choreographic miniatures by R. Petit, L. Yakobson, G. Aleksidze, designed for the sophisticated audience.
From 1983 to 2001, Nikita Aleksandrovich headed the ballet directing department of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Later he returned to his native Mikhailovsky Theater as a teacher-reporter. In the last years of his life, Dolgushin headed the theater's artistic council.
The activities of the famous teacher and dancer have been awarded dozens of prestigious awards. ON THE. Dolgushin was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR.
Personal life
Relatives have always considered Dolgushin a man who devoted himself entirely to the theater. The impression was that he did not get tired and did not need rest. However, crazy employment did not interfere with outdoor recreation, communication with friends, activities with children, whom Nikita Aleksandrovich loved very much. An intelligent person with a versatile education and an excellently delivered speech, he was a very interesting conversationalist.
Nikita Dolgushin was quite happy in family life. Alexandra Baranova became his wife, the couple lived for 45 years and were considered a truly exemplary couple. The famous dancer, choreographer and teacher died in 2012 after a serious illness and is buried in the Smolensk cemetery.
