Biography of Nemov
Alexey was born on May 28, 1976 in the small village of Barashevo in Mordovia. Soon the boy's parents divorced. Alexey and his mother moved to live in Togliatti. At the age of five, she enrolled her son in the Olympic reserve sports school at the automobile plant. Nemov successfully combined school and sports. This allowed, after receiving a general education, to enter the Pedagogical University in Togliatti. As a result, Alexey received a higher education, which was very useful to him in the future.
The young man's first sporting successes came in 1989, when he became the winner of the USSR Championship among youth. From that moment on, his great sports career began. Nemov's first international achievements came in 1996, when the Atlanta Olympics took place. Then Alexei was only twenty years old. Nevertheless, this is already a fairly mature age for artistic gymnastics. He won two gold, one silver and three bronze medals and became a real hero of the games.
Nemov repeated his exploits four years later in Sydney. He again became the owner of two gold medals and won the absolute championship. By this time, Nemov had already become the main star of this sport. For an honest and uncompromising fight, Alexei was highly respected by fans around the world.
For the next games in Athens in 2004, Nemov went to the rank of the main favorite. But from the very beginning, he did not succeed in performing. And on one of the shells, Alexei performed the exercise very cleanly and without mistakes, but the judges gave him a low mark. Then the audience began to protest violently and did not allow the competition to continue. Then Nemov went out personally to the stands and calmed them down. As a result, the athlete was left without a medal, but those ungrateful judges were forever deprived of their license for their work. After the end of the games, Alexey announced the end of his distinguished sports career.
After that, Nemov found himself in ordinary life. First, Alexey became the founder and founder of the sports show "The Legend of Sport", where the most prominent Russian gymnasts performed. Then several more projects of this type followed, in which Nemov acted as a producer.
In 2013, Alexey became a member of the United Russia party and one of the advisers to the Minister of Culture. A year later he was invited to become the chief editor of the Bolshoi Sport publication. In parallel with this work, Nemov does not forget about his hometown. For several years now he has been building the Nemov Center sports complex in Togliatti, where young gymnasts will train. Its opening is scheduled for 2020.

Alexei connected his entire personal life with one woman named Galina. They met at the Krugloye Lake training base. At that time, the girl was married and had one child. But Nemov immediately fell in love with Galina, and after a while the young people began to live together. Then there was a wedding and the birth of two children together.
