Pavel Luspekaev is a Soviet actor, he is an Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He was remembered by the audience thanks to the role of Vereshchagin in the film "White Sun of the Desert".
Biography
Pavel Luspekaev was born in the village of Bolshie Saly (Rostov region), date of birth - 1927-17-04. The mother's ancestors were Cossacks, the father was Armenian. After school, Pavel began his studies at a school in Lugansk.
At the beginning of the war, students were evacuated to Frunze. At 15 y. Luspekaev went to the front, got to the partisans, during one of the battles he was wounded in the arm. The hospital wanted to amputate her, but Pavel did not allow her. The hand was cured, but Luspekaev was no longer allowed to participate in hostilities. Later he served in the headquarters.
After the war, Luspekaev studied at the theater school in Lugansk. There he met his future wife I. Kirillova. The family lived in Tbilisi, in Kiev, then in 1959. moved to Leningrad. Pavel and Irina have a daughter, Larisa.
Pavel Luspekaev's creative career
The actor began working on stage in 1944, he joined the troupe of the Lugansk theater. Then he worked in the theater in Tbilisi. In 1959, after moving to Leningrad, Luspekaev began working at the Bolshoi Drama Theater. For the next 6 years, the actor played excellent roles, his work was noted by Laurence Olivier. Then Luspekaev left the theater due to creative differences and exacerbations of the disease.
The actor first appeared in the cinema in 1954. It was the tape "They came down from the mountains", which did not become famous. Another picture with Luspekaev is "The Secret of Two Oceans." She received great success. In 1956. Pavel worked in the movie "Blue Arrow", he had the role of the 2nd plan.
Pavel Luspekaev suffered from atherosclerosis of the vessels of the legs, the disease led to amputation of the fingers. In 1966. the actor was given a role in the movie "Republic SHKID". But the disease progressed, the doctors wanted to amputate his legs to the knees. The actor did not dare to undergo surgery, only his toes were taken away.
Then Luspekaev was tormented by severe pains, he lived on large quantities of painkillers. When Paul realized that he depended on drugs, he stopped taking them. Success to Luspekaev came after the role of Vereshchagin in the movie "White Sun of the Desert". The actor did not move well, but agreed to the proposal to shoot. After the audition, he was approved for the role.
Luspekaev was specially made shoes with metal stops. These boots allowed the actor to move independently without crutches or canes. The drawing of the shoes was made by Luspekaev himself.
According to the script, the role of the customs officer should be small, but the director liked Pavel's work, so Vereshchagin became one of the main characters. The picture has become very popular and beloved by moviegoers. The role of Vereshchagin was one of the last works of the actor. Luspekaev died in 1970, he was 42 years old.
