Probably, every person has had this at least once: you come to the store with a desire to buy shoes, try on for a long time, and finally find what you need. You return home as a happy owner of a new thing, and suddenly you realize that these shoes do not suit you, they are too tight or uncomfortable. Can I return it to the store?
Instructions
Step 1
Of course, it is possible and even necessary. Fortunately, the legislation gives for this as much as 14 days. Only in this case there are small reservations. You must have a receipt with you or a witness who can confirm that the shoes you bought at this particular store. Also, the warranty card must be safe and sound. And the last thing - the shoes must be clean and look new - otherwise the seller will not accept them on a completely legal basis, because the presentation has not been preserved.
Step 2
If you have met all these conditions, and the seller is in no hurry to return the money to you, let him know that you will complain about him to the Consumer Protection Service. Most often, after such words, the seller gives the money. But you should immediately warn those people who are going to use this technique in any store: this rule does not apply to some products. Even with excellent presentation and all receipts, medicines, bedding and underwear, blankets, pillows and other "personal items" will not be taken back. A complete list of such products can be found in the "Consumer Rights Law".
Step 3
It is also possible to return the shoes if a defect is found. In this case, the seller will conduct an examination. In the course of it, you will find out whether the defect was caused by improper manufacture of shoes at the factory, or it arose due to the fact that you did not properly care for the shoes. If the manufacturer is to blame, he will be obliged to return the money to you or offer a replacement. If you find yourself guilty, you will have to reimburse the seller for the cost of the examination. However, her decision can be challenged in court.
