The future actress was born in 1930 in Nizhny Novgorod, in an intelligent family of a military doctor and engineer. The girl grew up quiet and modest, she did not dream of an artistic career. The teenage years fell on a difficult wartime, but Luda managed not only to study well, but also to help her parents as much as she could.
After leaving school, the girl entered the Gorky Theater School. It happened unexpectedly: Lyudmila auditioned for the company with her friend and impressed the selection committee with a monologue from Ostrovsky. She was not lost during her studies, creating vivid images in student performances. After graduation, the young actress received an invitation to the Gorky Drama Theater. Here Khityaeva was offered mainly romantic roles, the beautiful and talented actress quickly acquired fans and admirers who went to every performance with her participation.
Film career
Khityaeva's film career began triumphantly - with the title role in Isidor Annensky's film Ekaterina Voronina. This work became a landmark - the aspiring dramatic actress was noticed, she began to receive promising proposals from directors. The next significant role was Daria in Gerasimov's film "Quiet Don". Lyudmila herself doubted that the role of the reckless and sly conqueror of hearts was within her power, but the director managed to convince the actress. As a result, Daria became one of the most memorable and multifaceted characters in the picture, and Khityaeva gained nationwide fame.
Among Lyudmila's favorite roles are Lushka from Virgin Soil Upturned, Evdokia from the film of the same name, dedicated to the fate of the mother of adopted children, Galina from the comedy Cook, Solokh from the movie Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka. In total, Khityaeva's list includes about 50 roles: main, secondary and even episodic. The actress gladly took on interesting and diverse work, trying to avoid clichés and repetitions of her own creative finds. She managed not to get lost in the difficult post-perestroika times. In 1965, Lyudmila Ivanovna received the title of Honored Artist of the USSR, since 1983 she has been People's Artist of the RSFSR. Personal life
The actress prefers not to advertise her personal life. The first husband of Khityaeva was student Alexander Belokrinkin. Lyudmila was conquered by beautiful courtship, love was mutual, but, as often happens in her youth, short. The marriage could not stand the everyday difficulties and career aspirations of the actress. However, many years later, Lyudmila admitted that the divorce was a mistake. The only son of the actress, Pavel, was born in marriage. By the way, from a very young age, Khityaeva forbade him to even think about an acting career. Pavel became an economist; today he lives with his family in Thailand.
The second husband of the actress was a urologist, who tragically died a few years later. The actress did not enter into an official marriage anymore, but for 20 years she maintained relations with the athlete Valery Leontyev. In 1996, the civil marriage ended at the initiative of Khityaeva, since then Lyudmila Ivanovna has lived alone.
