Irina Polyakova is one of those women who can be called a girl. At 57, she looks very young. This is because the presenter of the weather forecast leads an active lifestyle and loves her job very much, albeit not so popular and in demand.
Childhood and youth
Irina Polyakova was born on March 9, 1961 in the port of five seas, the city of Moscow. She was the only child in the family. All that is known about Irina's parents is that her father was a military engineer who demanded responsibility and discipline from his daughter. Thus, since childhood, Irina was a person with a strong-willed character, which allowed her to graduate from a comprehensive school with only five marks.
Despite the fact that the girl easily coped with all school subjects, she was inflamed with love only for geography. However, closer to school graduation, her father advised her to go to the Institute of Steel and Alloys. Irina, being always an obedient girl, and this time had no idea of opposing her father's advice. Thus, she began to prepare for admission to the same university until Irina's aunt came to visit them.
When the woman found out about her niece's upcoming career, she was shocked. According to her aunt, Irina's choice was wrong, since engineering is not a woman's business at all. Knowing the girl's love for geography, the woman advised her to go for higher education at the Faculty of Geography of one of the most prestigious universities in the country - Moscow State University. Ira agreed. And my father, in the end, was not at all opposed.
The young applicant had to prepare for exams in mathematics, physics and geography. Ironically, Irina's difficulties arose precisely with geography. Of the two questions on the ticket, she was able to answer only one. But this answer impressed the admissions committee so much that, without looking at other shortcomings, she was enrolled in the course.
Thus, Polyakova had almost in her pocket a further career related to her favorite subject.
Television career
After receiving a diploma from Moscow State University, the girl decided to study at the graduate school of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, however, she did not manage to get another diploma.
Irina received her first experience of working on TV thanks to Channel One, which invited Polyakova to conduct a weather forecast in the morning show. At first, Irina was very difficult, since many responsibilities fell on the shoulders of a young girl: she had to draw a map herself, and during filming she switched cameras alone.
When Irina was 37 years old, she was invited to the "Meteo-TV", where in the future, she also kept weather forecasts. Despite the fact that Irina was already quite experienced in this matter, at the new workplace she was pretty worried, because of which the weather forecast had to be re-shot many times.
Already 4 years later, Polyakova becomes the chief editor of the channel. As Irina herself admits, this appointment was extremely unexpected for her.
After some time, Irina was offered to conduct a weather forecast on NTV, one of the country's central television channels. And soon the rather famous presenter becomes the chief editor of the Weather Forecast program, all on the same NTV, where she works to this day.
Personal life
The personal life of the TV presenter is partly covered with a veil of secrets. This is because Irina simply does not consider it necessary to tell the public about it. It is only known that she is a faithful wife and loving mother. Daughter Vera is brought up in fairly free conditions, since Irina's difficult childhood, due to the character of her father, did not allow her at times to do and have what she wanted.
