According to the consumer protection law, the return of jewelry after purchase to the store is not possible if the purchased jewelry does not fit in appearance or size. However, in some cases, the seller is obliged to take the goods back.

Step 1
If the purchased piece of jewelry is technically in good order, but you just don't like it, try negotiating a return with the seller. This is not provided by law, but in practice the result depends on the goodwill of the owner of the salon. You may be offered to exchange the product for an equivalent one or pay extra for a more expensive product. To return, it is necessary that the manufacturer's tag is present on the jewelry, as well as there is a purchase receipt.
Step 2
Contact the store where the jewelry was purchased if a defect is found in the jewelry. After an examination, which the owners of a jewelry salon that sold you a low-quality product are obliged to carry out on their own, the jewelry can be repaired at the expense of the store, or replaced with a new one. Also, you can get a refund at your insistence.
Step 3
If you have doubts about the authenticity of the sample on the jewelry, submit a written claim to the management of the store where the jewelry was purchased. The owner is obliged, at his own expense, to conduct an examination of the dubious product and, if it is recognized as fake, to return the full value. If the management refuses to accept the jewelry, ask for a receipt of refusal, which will be useful to you when filing a complaint with the supervisory authorities.
Step 4
Contact the State Assay Office or the Gemological Center of Moscow State University, where they will conduct a professional examination of the jewelry. If the result of the check shows that a fake was sold to you, contact the conclusion of gemologists (specialists in stones) and a statement to the territorial administration of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation. In the application, indicate the coordinates of the store that sold you a fake.
