No matter how a foreign citizen intends to cross the border of the Russian Federation (by plane, train, even by bicycle), he must fill in the data in the migration card and keep the “B” coupon of this card during his entire stay in the Russian Federation.
Instructions
Step 1
Get a migration card if you cross the border of the Russian Federation: • by air - from the aircraft crew;
• by sea, river transport - by the members of the ship's crew;
• by rail - from the train crew (conductors);
• by public road transport (regular bus) - from the bus driver;
• by personal (private) vehicle or on foot - at the employees of the border control. It is also possible to fill out the migration card directly in the arrival hall of the airport (port, bus station, etc.) immediately before passing the border control point. The migration card is issued free of charge.
Step 2
Fill in both parts of the migration card - both entry and exit (coupons "A" and "B") by hand, legibly, without blots and corrections, with a ballpoint or ink pen with paste (ink) in black, purple or blue. Persons who do not speak Russian can fill in the data of the migration card in Latin letters in accordance with the passport data. Migration cards are filled in for citizens of any age.
Step 3
Receive from the border control officer coupon "B" of the migration card with official marks on you crossing the border of the Russian Federation (coupon "A" will be withdrawn from you when passing through passport control). Keep the received coupon all the time while you are on the territory of the Russian Federation and hand it over to the border control officers when leaving the Russian Federation.
Step 4
In case of loss or damage of coupon "B" of the migration card, apply to the territorial bodies of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation at the place of your stay in order to receive a duplicate, within three days from the date of discovery of the loss or damage of the document.
Step 5
Leave the territory of the Russian Federation after the expiration of the established period of stay. If you need to extend the period of stay, contact the territorial bodies of the Federal Migration Service of Russia with a corresponding statement in advance. Information about your registration at the place of stay and about the extension of your stay will be affixed on the back of coupon "B". If you do not have a migration card when leaving Russia, you will be asked to fill out a coupon form "B" when passing the border control.
