Conscripts are often interested in where they will be taken to serve in the army. The location of the unit may affect the conditions of service, relations with relatives and other important aspects. You can find out about this even before leaving for the location of the military unit.

Step 1
Study carefully all the documentation that you will be offered to fill out at the military commissariat. Often it includes a questionnaire in which there is a question about where the conscript would like to serve. In this case, you can independently decide where to go to the service. Also, some institutions inform conscripts in advance about their future duty station. Please note that the final decision may still be different.
Step 2
Interview acquaintances who have already served in the army from the commissariat at your place of residence. Usually, in this case, conscripts are sent to the same military units. Take this opportunity to inquire about the conditions of service and inquire which of the places suits you best.
Step 3
Check out the list of military units available in the country. Pay attention to those of them that are related to the branch of the military in which you were assigned, for example, airborne, infantry, Navy, etc. An equally important feature is the presence at the moment of "hot spots" in which hostilities are being conducted. If there are any, you may well be directed to the nearest parts.
Step 4
Write in advance an application to the military commissariat on your own behalf or on behalf of your parents and immediate family. Ask the command to send you to a specific military unit. There must be a good reason for this, for example, for health reasons, the conscript must serve in an area with a certain climate and other conditions. Be sure to attach a doctor's opinion to the application.
Step 5
Often, the conscript's place of service is not disclosed until the last moment. Recruits find out about him directly on the way to their destination. However, if you know the person who will accompany you to the place, ask him in advance about the place of the future service. Also, interview those who are picked up on the same day as you - they may know the information from their sources.
