In order to write an appeal to the United Nations, you can use a special form on the official UN website, send a letter by mail or write from your e-mail box.
Instructions
Step 1
Visit the official website of the United Nations to contact the Secretary-General in a specially created form. Select your language on the welcome page. Click on the inscription “Welcome”, because in any case you will have to switch to the English language from the Russian-language page to write the text of the message. Scroll down the page, in the horizontal menu at the very bottom, find the Contact us button, click on it.
Step 2
Fill out the form to contact the UN Secretary General on the page that opens. Choose the subject of your message from two options: Questions on the United Nations Website or General Questions and Comments.
Step 3
Leave your e-mail address in a separate window, the answer of the Secretary of the United Nations to your question will come to this box. Write the subject of your message in the Subject box.
Step 4
Write an appeal to the United Nations. You can use both Russian and English. Click the Send button, located below the field for entering the text of the message.
Step 5
Compose your letter on paper. Please include your contact information in the body of your message so that United Nations staff can send you a response to your home address.
Step 6
Purchase an envelope suitable for shipping to the United States. Send a letter to: The United Nations The United Nations Works Programs Department of Public Information Room S-955 New York, NY 10017 Your message will be answered in about two months. The waiting time can be shortened by sending the letter by airmail and enclosing an additional envelope with affixed reply stamps.
Step 7
Write an email from your mailbox. Send it to [email protected], be sure to include in the subject line what issues it concerns.
