Sometimes a purchased book is a complete disappointment if, on closer inspection at home, you discover that there are obvious defects on its pages. In this case, you can try returning it to the store.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember that in accordance with the law, each buyer has the right to return an item within two weeks without giving any reason. This can be done even in the absence of a receipt and packaging. The main condition is to preserve the presentation of the purchased item. The only drawback here is that books are classified as non-returnable items by law.
Step 2
Ask for the replacement of the book or a refund for it if you find any defects in it after the purchase. In accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 01.19.1998 N 55, even non-refundable goods can be returned to the store if you subsequently find technical deficiencies in them.
Step 3
Use the right to conduct a special examination if the administration of a trading institution refuses to notice flaws and return the money spent. By law, the procedure must be carried out by the seller at the expense of the store. When transferring the goods, you must fill out the acceptance certificate and indicate all claims regarding its appearance: the presence of scratches, torn pages or their absence, etc.
Step 4
Please be aware that discounted items already sold due to defects at a reduced price are not eligible for refunds. You can return such a book only if you find another flaw that you were not warned about.
